If Fadnavis is made CM, Shinde would give up Deputy CM’s post in favour of his son rather than serve under his BJP colleague, say Shiv Sena leaders

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis expressed his gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday for his support during the Maharashtra elections 2024. In a post on X, Fadnavis credited Shah for inspiring and motivating the party workers during the Maharashtra elections 2024.

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde and NCP leader AJit Pawar reached the residence of Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday to hold a key meeting over the CM's post.

The formal announcement on CM will be done after the BJP legislative party meeting in Mumbai in a day or two after party MLAs appoint the leader of the state legislative party.

Eknath Shinde is currently in a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the latter's residence in Delhi. JP Nadda is also present.

Fadnavis asserted that the Mahayuti alliance had no internal differences and that a decision on the Chief Minister would be made soon after consulting the leaders

After withdrawing from the CM's race, Eknath Shinde said that the modalities of forming the next government will be finalised in the meeting at Delhi on Thursday.
