Cape Air Flight 5105 from Nantucket to Boston's Logan Airport had to be taken out of service after it was hit by a vehicle tugging another airplane yesterday, according to a statement by Cape Air's Director of Marketing Rebecca Chace.

The incident took place the same day two other commercial planes clipped wings on the tarmac at Boston Logan International Airport.

According to Massport, a tug vehicle towing an empty JetBlue aircraft struck the rear of the Cape Air plane "at a slow rate of speed." It happened at about 6:30 p.m. Massport said the two Cape Air pilots were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
