FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: Strong to severe storms possible today
Happy Thursday! Today is a KSLA First Alert Weather Day as we are tracking the potential for strong to severe storms in the ArkLaTex this afternoon. Flash Flooding has already been reported north of I-30 and that will likely continue into the afternoon.
First Alert Weather Day: Damaging winds, heavy rain possible as strong winter storm nears
An unusually strong low-pressure system will pass north of the state Wednesday night, bringing the threat of heavy rain, damaging winds, and thunderstorms.
First Alert Weather Day: Thursday
The main line of storms will be arriving early Thursday morning and could move through East Texas just in time for the morning commute. Heavy rain is likely and some storms could become strong to severe. The line will be moving out of the area by Thursday evening and the clouds will clear out in time for sunshine this weekend.

The wind will be westerly at 10 to 15 mph, gusting to 20 mph. The First Alert Weather Day will still be in place.
