After InterGlobe Aviation, which operates IndiGo airline, filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Mahindra Electric for using ‘6E’ in its new car, the automaker said on Tuesday they do not see a conflict and are engaged in discussions with the budget airline to find an amicable solution.

New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra and InterGlobe Aviation, which owns IndiGo airlines, were on Tuesday locked in a tussle over infringement of '6e' trademark, despite the automaker claiming it is in discussions to find an amicable solution.

IndiGo has filed a trademark infringement suit against Mahindra Electric Automobile, objecting to the latter naming its upcoming EV as BE 6.

Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited launched the first of their electric origin vehicles on November 26 in the form of BE 6e and XEV 9e.

Mahindra has issued a statement addressing the matter and is in talks with IndiGo to find an amicable solution.

IndiGo's parent company, InterGlobe Aviation, has approached the Delhi High Court, claiming Mahindra Electric Automobiles has infringed on their '6E' trademark. Mahindra plans to use '6e' in its upcoming electric SUV.
