The work stoppage at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas marks the first open-ended strike in more than two decades for the Culinary Workers Union, the largest labor union in Nevada.

Four people were arrested for allegedly stealing two watches worth over $500,000 at a Las Vegas casino, according to documents obtained by 8 News Now. On Aug. 17, around noon, patrol officers responded to a report of a robbery in which a man’s $400,

“Tonight, Culinary Union members, including (union secretary-treasurer) Ted Pappageorge were arrested at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas as workers are on strike for a fair contract,” The Culinary Union posted on Twitter. “The fight for a contract now continues!”
