Seoul residents awoke to a gleaming world of white this week, as record snowfall caused both disruption and delight across the South Korean capital.

Heavy snow blanketed streets and road in South Korea for a second day on Thursday, causing traffic disruption. In Yongin, a metropolitan city located about an hour away from the capital, Seoul, people wandered along snowy streets as they made their way to work while drivers were seen struggling to manoeuvre their vehicles along snow-covered roads.

Seoul has recorded its heaviest November snowfall since records began over a century ago in 1907. The South Korean capital was covered with at least 16 cm of snow on Wednesday - beating the city's previous record of 12.
