An animal rights group has put up a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

Three newborn puppies were found dead and frozen in bags in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Wednesday and an investigation is underway.

The city says the puppies appear to be newborns that were between one to five days old at the time of their deaths.
