Canyon Crest Fire initially started 8:04 p.m. Nov. 28 in Riverside, San Bernardino County. It has burned 254 acres after being active for three days. A crew of 25 firefighters managed to contain the blaze entirely as of Sunday morning. The fire's cause remains under investigation.

Evacuation warnings were initially issued last night as some houses had reportedly burned. The fire as of Thursday evening encompassed 84 acres and was 0% contained overnight, in the area east of County Village Road and west of Sierra Avenue.

Firefighters were getting the upper hand on the Canyon Crest Fire, burning between Jurupa Valley and Fontana. As of Sunday evening, fire officials said the brush fire had burned 284 acres but is 95% contained.

The Canyon Crest Fire, which began Thanksgiving evening to the east of Los Angeles, has now reached 250 acres.
