LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cooper Kupp was a driving force when the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl to cap the 2021 season, culminating with his winning touchdown catch.
The McVay and Whitworth families donated $400,000 to two organizations, the LAFD Foundation and the Pasadena Community Foundation. Inspired by this, Cooper Kupp pledged to match up to $500,000 for each organization to raise an additional $1M in relief funding.

The play: Jalen Reagor, the Chargers wide receiver, was wide open on a busted coverage. A few yards outside the end zone, cornerback Starling Thomas V caught up to Reagor from behind and forced the ball free. Safety Jalen Thompson recovered the ball in the end zone for the touchback.

Kupp was referring to the Rams’ conversations about him with other teams ahead of this season’s trade deadline. The 31-year-old receiver and former triple crown winner has been with the franchise his entire career after they drafted him in the third round in 2017.
