Arizona ranks as the No. 6 growth state of 2024, following South Carolina, Texas, North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee.
Trailing just behind to round out the top 10 were Arizona, Washington, Indiana, Utah, and Idaho. While Oklahoma and Maine didn't make the top 10 rankings, they represented two out of the three biggest risers year-over-year in U-Haul's rankings, with Oklahoma up by 30 and Maine up by 18 (Indiana was also in that top three, up by 19).
South Carolina tops U-Haul’s 2024 Growth Index for the first time, with more than 51.7% of moves into the state.
