Coming off a 40-point blowout win over the Golden State Warriors, the Celtics continued their west coast road trip against the Los Angeles Clippers (24-18) and Boston’s first trip to the Intuit Dome was a successful one as they defeated the Clippers 117-113 in overtime.
The Celtics finished their road trip 3-1 after knocking off the Mavericks on Saturday night behind a big third quarter from Derrick White.
Given that schedule, the Celtics also chose a cautious approach with several of their veterans. Jrue Holiday (shoulder), Kristaps Porzingis (illness) and Al Horford (big toe) all were ruled out against the Clippers after being listed as questionable.
The Celtics need to execute better, especially during fourth-quarter possessions. They also need to sharpen up on offense and defense.
