Xabi Alonso confirms Victor Boniface will remain at Bayer Leverkusen, dismissing transfer rumours to Saudi Arabia amid his impressive performance.

Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso said Victor Boniface will remain at the Bundesliga club, after the Nigerian striker was left out of their Champions League clash with Sparta Prague amid rumours of a move to Saudi Arabia.

Speaking ahead of Leverkusen’s Bundesliga clash against Hoffenheim, Alonso acknowledged that the transfer discussions had progressed but insisted that Boniface remains comfortable in Germany.
