Last month, the San Antonio Spurs were able to come away with a 96-87 win against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. Following the game, a young Spurs fan wanted to participate in a jersey swap with star big man Victor Wembanyama,

Wembanyama — often referred to by his nickname "Wemby" — gifted his jersey to the young fan on Dec. 27 after the Spurs defeated the Brooklyn Nets. After the tiny recipient gave Wembanyama the jersey he had been wearing, the heartwarming photo of the their jersey swap went viral on social media.

The new owners of that jersey, which was donated fresh off the center's back after the team's 96–87 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, reportedly put it up for auction at Goldin auction house. The starting price? $10,000, with bidding set to begin on Jan. 22 at 8 p.m.

In late December, Spurs ' rising superstar Victor Wembanyama swapped jerseys with a young fan seated courtside for San Antonio's lone visit to Brooklyn to face the Nets. Cameras captured the moment and the Spurs social team shared the video on X, calling it the "Best jersey swap ever."
