A Saratoga, Calif., man extradited from France to face charges in a 2013 campus sexual assault case has waived his right to a pretrial hearing in Pennsylvania. Ian Cleary, 32, will remain in custody until a formal arraignment in Gettysburg set for March 18.

The appearance by Ian Cleary, 31, of Saratoga, California, came a day after he arrived back in the U.S. from France where he was detained in April.

According to an arrest warrant, Ian Cleary texted the victim, “So I raped you. I’ll never do it to anyone ever again," in December 2019.
