After drafting Bo Nix with the 12th-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Denver has clinched its first playoff berth since winning Super Bowl 50 in 2016. Nix and company will travel to Buffalo to take on Josh Allen and the Bills in the opening round of the playoffs.

According to beat reporter Zac Stevens, Nix suffered three fractures in his lower back towards the end of the regular season, but he kept on playing through the pain and discomfort. His injuries, which were more specifically process fractures of three vertebrae, occurred during the game against the Las Vegas Raiders way back on Nov. 24.
