Less than 5 per cent of those missing out on Pension Credit - which secures access to the Winter Fuel Payment - have come forward since restrictions were announced

Pensioners tell Big Issue of the extreme measures they're taking to keep warm this Christmas a result of cuts to the winter fuel payment.

Campaigners have said this threshold is too low, and will put two million vulnerable pensioners at risk of missing out. Labour now also faces legal action over the changes as Unite, the party’s biggest union backer, makes an application to the High Court.
