COLUMBUS, Ohio - In response to lake effect snow accumulations as deep as 5 feet with more on the way, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Tuesday declared a state of emergency in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has declared a state of emergency in three northeast Ohio counties in response to heavy snow with more on the way.

Mountains of snow continue to provide problems for area governments, school districts and residents, as more than three feet of snow accumulated across the northern parts of Ashtabula County.
