Good morning to everyone whose entire personality is now all things Wicked: we need to discuss Dorothy Gale. Specifically, whether or not the iconic Wizard of Oz character will show up in Wicked Part 2.

Wicked is a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, but does the timeline allow for Dorothy to appear?

Wicked is split into two parts, with Part One releasing on Nov. 22, 2024. In this film, Dorothy appears so far to only be seen from behind as Part One predates her actual arrival in Oz. It's possible her only appearance in the film will be part of a flashback.

Dorothy might soon meet the witches of Oz in the next Wicked film. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande bring down the house as Elphaba and Glinda in the new movie musical, but it's only the first installment of a two-part story.
