An argument on a Chicago street led to a 34-year-old man being shot in the chest and hospitalized in critical condition.

The office of Ald. Timm Knudsen (43rd) said there is reason to believe the shooting was an isolated incident, and the victim and the shooter knew each other.

Lincoln Park — A Lincoln Park police officer and a suspect were hospitalized after a narcotics investigation led to gunfire Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. A man was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood Wednesday.

According to the Chicago Fire Department, a man, 40 sustained two gunshot wounds while on Clark Street, just north of Fullerton Avenue. He was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and was initially listed in critical condition.
