Moana 2” sailed to the top of the box office over the long Thanksgiving weekend, giving Disney yet another record-shattering opening for an animated film.

"Wicked," "Gladiator II," and "Moana 2" contributed to the $420 million raked in over the five-day period — the best-ever Thanksgiving box office sales.

The three movies brought in a combined $420 million to the box office during Thanksgiving weekend — surpassing the previous record of $315.6 million from 2018, when “Creed II,” “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” were all in theaters.
