Nick Saban famously hated hypotheticals when he was head coach at Alabama, but once again on Friday brought up what might have happened had the Crimson Tide been in the 2022 College Football Playoff.

"Because (of) their win over Georgia," CFP selection chair Warde Manuel said. "They won against Missouri. They've beat South Carolina and they won at LSU in a dominant fashion. So when you put those four wins against, you know, Mississippi and what they did ... when we compare resumes, that's how we saw it."
