Vegas took six minutes in penalties to the Flyers' two and fell into an early 3-0 hole. Off of 31 saves from Ilya Samsonov and a resilient offensive effort, the Golden Knights escaped Philly with a 5-4 win in a shootout, but flaws were abundant.

The Flyers led 3-0 early in the second period before Vegas, which entered the game scoring the fourth-most goals per game in the NHL, roared back.

Vegas came all the way back and won the game in a shootout, 5-4, on Monday night at the Wells Fargo Center. Vegas’ Jack Eichel got the only goal of the tiebreaker. The Flyers finished their five-game homestand with a 2-2-1 mark.
