Jacob Michael Diebler (born October 28, 1986) is an American basketball coach and former player who currently serves as the head coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball team. Since 2019, he had served as an assistant coach at Ohio State.

Mar 17, 2024 · COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior Advisor for Intercollegiate Athletics Ross Bjork today announced the hiring of Jake Diebler as head coach of the Ohio State men’s basketball program. Diebler, who becomes the 15th head coach in program history, will receive a five-year contract.

The first Ohioan to be named Ohio State’s head coach in 35 years, Diebler led the Buckeyes to a 6-2 record in his time as the interim head coach. The first of those six wins came in his first game as the interim coach and in stunning fashion, over No. 2 Purdue on Feb. 19.

Jake Diebler was named the program's 15th head coach on March 17, 2024. Diebler has been at Ohio State for a total of eight seasons. He was a video coordinator with the program from 2014-16 and then returned as an assistant coach prior to the 2019-20 season.
