Dune: Prophecy is a prequel to the Denis Villeneuve films Dune and Dune: Part Two, taking place some 10,000 years earlier. It draws upon, but is set after, the Great Schools of Dune novel trilogy (2012–2016) by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
